Best little sewing machine for the price
I was having trouble sewing bags with my fancy (expensive) Pfaff, so I took a little shopping trip on Amazon.com and found this little baby (affiliate link)…
I highly recommend this machine for anyone who is looking for a bit of a workhorse that will sew through layers like a champ!
This baby is so affordable, I may buy another one just to keep at my shop.
Not your average club…Mini Fat Quarter Club
Welcome to BrewStitched version of a Fat Quarter Monthly Club aka Mini Stash Club. No long term commitments, pricing is very affordable, new colors and selections each month, on trend, and the added bonus….Aurifil Thread in the color of the month.
Let’s be real..most of us have a pretty healthy stash and have a hard time justifying one more fabric purchase, but with the Mini Stash Club by BrewStitched those objections can be thrown out the window.
Here’s what you’ll receive every month (if you choose):
5 fat quarters in the monthly color theme AND 1 spool of 50 weight 220 meters of Aurifil thread in a complimentary color.
Each month (on the 5th) you will be shown a preview for that months stash. As a monthly stash club member you will receive the notification early via email and you can let me know then if you’d like that months stash sent to you on the 15th. Quantities are limited each month, so if there are any remaining they will be offered to the general public on the 15th of each month.
Here’s a few pictures explaining the club and showing you what was offered with the Jan and Feb club. There are still a few left if you’re interested, just click on the photo.
Thank you and happy stitching!

July Mug Rug of the Month (MRM)
I’m starting a new series on Mug Rugs! These little rugs are a quick easy way to try out a new technic or pattern. This months theme is Independence Day for obvious reasons. The quilt patter is called Lemoyne star and it’s from a wonderful book called 500 Quilt Blocks by Lynne Goldsworthy & Kerry Green. I highly recommend this book. It chalked full of great quilt blocks new and old.
The Mug Rug measures 6″x6″, a little bigger than I had planned, but I’m new to making these, trial and error is part of the process!
Enjoy!

1H2015 Scrappy Quilt
Using scraps left from early 2015 quilts, I made this lovely little 2 1/2″ scrappy block quilt. It measures 43.5″ x 55.5″ and is perfect for a baby crib or crawling floor quilt.
It was a lot more fun than I thought and went together really easy, so glad I did it! Now I’m getting better at saving my scraps and hope to make one of these every 6 months or so.

Flying geese and sunshine
What a wonderful weekend! Full of sun, sun, and more sun! Made it a little hard to sleep last night and even harder to get out of bed this morning. But I love these cool mornings after a hot day!!!
I loved making this quilt. I thought it would be a lot harder than it was, but it was really easy and quick. I’ve been trying new FMQ techniques, some I just make up and some I’m trying to replicate. This one I just made up 🙂 It’s hard to see, but I just made a simple line with a loop through the center of all the geese, quick and easy and different.
This quilt is for sale in my Etsy Shop, please take a look. https://www.etsy.com/shop/StitchandBrew
Enjoy the day!
